The costs involved are the rental fee for the cell phone, call charge, and tax. The rental fee is 2,700 KRW per day. Calling charges are 90 KRW per ten seconds (540 KRW per minute). And then, when returning the handset, a 10% VAT on all charges is added
2. Can I rent a mobile phone without my passport and credit card?
For foreigners, a passport and credit card is required when your rent a phone. If you have a credit card, you should place deposit money.
3. How can I pay for the rental fee and calling charges?
You should prepay for the daily rental charges by credit cards or in cash. Calling charges can be paid by credits cards or in cash when you check out.
4. How long can I rent a mobile phone?
You can rent one for as long as you want
5. Do you offer discounts for long-term rentals?
Yes, we discount rental fees. The the daily rental fee is 2,000 KRW per day after 10days and 1,000 KRW after 30 days. However, there is no discount for calling charges.
6. Call rates of S roaming are competitive to other services?
Phone rental service of S roaming charges your call fee per second based on where the calls are made to although most companies in Korea and other countries charge per minute. Therefore, customers are only pay for their real call time.
7. What additional services are available?
Caller ID is free of charge and incoming calls and SMSs (text message) services are also free of charge.
8. What languages do your mobile phones support?
At present, we have phones which support English and Korean.
9. Should I reserve a phone before?
Online reservations should be made at least three days prior to arrival in Korea. You can also rent a mobile phone immediately at the airport without an advanced reservation. However, as we provide online-limited promotion or event, you may have opportunity to benefits from our online reservation.
10. Is there a cancellation fee if I cancel my reservation
If the reservation is cancelled, there is no cancellation fee. Therefore, when you return the phone earlier or later, there is no penalty at all.
11. When will I receive my bill?
Yes, we provide the invoice/receipt when your return the phone. And then, we can show the call detail records upon your request.
12. Do I have to return my handset to the place where I rented it?
Yes, you should return it to S roaming rental center on the 1st floor at Incheon International airport.
13. Can I return the phone by parcel service?
In principle, that is not possible. However, in the case of an unavoidable reason, e.g. accidentally carrying the handset back to your home country, it may be the most logical option. However, please notify us in advance by phone. In this case, the rental hone and call fee will be charged to the deposit credit card.
14. What happens if I lose my rental cell phone?
In the event that you lose your cell phone during your trip, please contact S roaming customer service center immediately to discontinue all services to prevent additional charges. The renter is responsible for the replacement value of the cell phone as listed below:
